These are a soft, buoyant rubber imitation maggot, that can be used to produce a critically balanced or popped up bait. They are best used in conjunction with real maggots when a slow sinking or balanced hook bait is required e.g when fishing over the bottom weed or when fish are taking on the drop. They are also useful when small fish are a nuisance, and are constantly tearing real maggots off the hook. They can also be used to pop up a bait, when matched with an appropriate hook size. 1 large Grub & 2 real maggots on a size 14 or 16 for a slow sinking hook bait. 2 large Grubs and 3 or 4 real maggots on a size 12 for a "popped up" effect. The two sizes of maggots allow for greater flexibility when balancing various makes of hook.20 maggots per pack.
